Casualty Attorney

A law firm based in Tampa, FL, is actively seeking a highly experienced Casualty Attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience, including first-chair trial experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in defending a variety of General Liability matters. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned attorney to contribute their expertise to a dynamic legal team.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation in the defense of General Liability matters.
• Handle a caseload from inception through resolution, including first chair trial responsibilities.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Attend court hearings, conferences, and mediations.
• Collaborate with clients and experts to build effective case strategies.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Engage in settlement negotiations when appropriate.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Florida.
• 10+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on General Liability matters.
• Demonstrated first chair trial experience.
