A law firm seeks an associate to join the Securities and Capital Markets Group in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, engaging in business development and client-facing activities, while supporting career development and excellent client service.

Duties

• Collaborate with shareholders on diverse legal matters.
• Participate in business development and client interactions.
• Handle debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in corporate, securities, capital markets, and M&A at an AM Law 100 firm.
• Experience with debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admitted and in good standing in Illinois, New York, District of Columbia, or Florida.

Skills

• Strong transactional skills.
• Experience with securitizations and aviation clients is an asset.
