Duties

• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date client files.
• Advocate for clients by analyzing needs and forming strategic plans.
• Discuss asset distribution plans with clients.
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals in civil litigation.
• Serve as a direct contact for clients on estate planning strategies.
• Advise clients on estate planning options and provide fiduciary recommendations.
• Mentor less-experienced team members and support team growth.
• Contribute to the firm's presence in Suffolk and Nassau Counties.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in estate planning and probate law.
• Active member in good standing with the ABA.
• Excellent communication skills, especially under stress.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• 3 years of progressive experience in estate planning and probate.
• Ability to report to the office as required.
• High emotional intelligence and business acumen.
• Comfortable with one-on-one client consultations.

Education

• 4-year degree with a legal background.
• J.D. degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York.

Skills

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
