Inssrance Defense Attorneys Needed in for Denver Firm

Profile

A law firm in Centennial, CO, is seeking two dedicated insurance defense attorneys.  One attorney should have trial experience.  The other candidate may be less experienced, but should have first or third-party insurance experience. Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado or in the process of obtaining licensure. The roles require strong research, analytical, and writing skills. Portable experience is not required. Mentoring and training will be provided to the right candidates.  Firm is collaborative and a great place to work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in insurance defense cases, handling matters from initial filing through trial and/or trial prep.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal briefs, memoranda, and other documents.
• Develop and implement case strategies, including managing discovery, depositions, and pre-trial motions.
• Attend and participate in trial proceedings, including presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and making legal determinations.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring all deadlines and court dates are met.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and case law.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado or in the process of obtaining licensure.
• 1-10 years of experience in insurance defense.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership or eligibility for membership in the Colorado State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research, case analysis, and trial preparation.
• Experienced in handling insurance defense cases and navigating trial procedures.
• Strong case management and organizational abilities.
• Effective negotiation and client communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
