Profile
Bona Law is seeking an experienced antitrust attorney
to join its active and growing practice in San Diego
, California or New York City
Are you are an outstanding attorney with great writing skills that takes serving clients seriously? Do you want to contribute to an atmosphere where finding the best way to solve problems is more important than doing it the same way it has always been done? Do you enjoy practicing law and want to be challenged so you can grow as an attorney?
If you answered “YES” to each of those questions, Bona Law may be the firm for you.
We are considering additional team members at all levels, but our greatest desire right now is to add an antitrust attorney at the senior associate to junior partner level
with big firm or federal antitrust agency experience
. We are looking for someone that has the desire and capability to help manage cases and other significant matters. We prefer a strong litigation background.
The ideal candidate will enjoy writing
as that is one way that Bona Law distinguishes itself. We also do quite a bit of appellate work
, which tends to appeal to attorneys that want to continually develop their writing.
Bona Law represents both plaintiffs and defendants in trial and appellate litigation. Our cases range from simple breach-of-contract matters to appeals to complex antitrust cases. We also do plenty of antitrust and competition counseling.
Candidates should be a member of either the California or New York Bar Association and have a J.D. from a top law school.
If you are interested in applying, please provide the following information to careers@bonalawpc.com
A cover letter
that briefly describes your career goals. It is just as important for you as it is for us that this is a good fit, so the cover letter will help us understand whether working together will be mutually beneficial. The better it is for you, the better it is for us. We also have a sincere desire that anyone that works with us improve as an attorney and develop their career in the direction of their goals. So the cover letter is important.
A resume
that describes applicable experience and education. It is useful to understand the types of matters you’ve worked on, so including that in the resume or cover letter will help us evaluate your application.
A writing sample
. Strong writing is a big deal to us, so we want to see your writing. We aren’t that concerned about the form of the sample—whether it is an article, a brief, a blog post, or even a short story. But we want to see your writing. That doesn’t mean you need a Pulitzer Prize or an advanced degree in English, but we need to see that your writing flows well. We all consciously work on our writing and expect that you, if you join us, will do the same.
We apologize for this ahead of time as we know from experience that it can be frustrating, but we are not going to be able to respond to each applicant, nor can we promise any particular timeline for review. Please do not call us
with questions about your application.
