Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its Kansas City office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex IP disputes at regional, national, and international levels. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of patent litigation experience and a strong academic and professional background.

Location:

• Kansas City, MO

Duties:

• Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
• Conduct legal research and analysis on IP-related cases
• Manage discovery, including document production and depositions
• Assist in trial preparation and strategy development
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy
• Engage in business development and client relationship management

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of patent litigation experience
• Active Missouri law license and good standing with the state bar
• Strong analytical and legal research skills
• Excellent writing, communication, and client service abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri
