Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly qualified Mid-Level Appellate Litigation Associate with 2–4 years of experience to support its Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. This role is focused on appellate and Supreme Court litigation, with an emphasis on intellectual property-related matters, particularly patent litigation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic background, appellate clerkship experience, and significant post-clerkship litigation exposure. This opportunity is being recruited on behalf of the firm by a legal recruitment agency.

Location:

• Boston, Massachusetts

Duties:

• Handle major phases of appellate litigation

• Draft and review briefs, motions, and other appellate documents

• Conduct legal research and case analysis

• Participate in appellate strategy development

• Collaborate with litigation teams on complex disputes

• Represent clients in appellate courts, including the Supreme Court when applicable

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of relevant litigation experience post-clerkship

• Experience in appellate litigation

• Strong exposure to matters involving intellectual property, especially patent law

• Outstanding legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Admission to practice in Massachusetts or eligibility for prompt admission

• Completion of at least one appellate or Supreme Court clerkship preferred
