A prominent law firm based in Nashville, TN, is seeking an experienced E-Discovery Litigation Associate to join its robust discovery-focused legal practice. This role is ideal for a litigation attorney eager to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of legal professionals and technologists, leveraging advanced analytics and AI tools to handle complex discovery needs for clients in diverse sectors. The opportunity includes direct client interaction, strategy development, and participation in high-stakes, technology-driven litigation support.
Draft and implement discovery protocols, discovery-related motions, protective orders, and data governance policies.
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda on discovery-related matters.
Apply advanced legal technology, including AI and GenAI, to streamline discovery workflows.
Supervise review teams on matters involving privilege assessments, responsiveness reviews, and issue coding.
Advise corporate clients on e-discovery strategy, process, and compliance.
Coordinate with internal litigation teams and external counsel to execute end-to-end discovery strategies.
Utilize platforms such as Relativity and other legal tech tools to manage the collection, review, and production of electronic records.
Stay informed on evolving legal standards, court rulings, and industry advancements in e-discovery.
Mentor junior legal staff on best practices in electronic discovery and litigation readiness.
2-5 years of experience handling complex litigation, with a strong focus on discovery and procedural matters
Familiarity with negotiation, motion practice, and client-facing legal service delivery
Admission (or eligibility for admission) in Tennessee, North Carolina, or South Carolina
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with in-house legal teams and IT professionals
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
Proficiency in legal research tools and drafting litigation documents
Experience or aptitude with e-discovery tools, particularly Relativity
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-centric environment
Comfortable with data analysis, information systems, and emerging legal tech tools
