A respected law firm located in Linwood, NJ, is currently seeking a highly motivated and assertive family law attorney to join its litigation team. The position supports both in-office and remote work, with travel expected for court appearances throughout New Jersey.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, alimony, and support proceedings

• Prepare and conduct mediations, settlement negotiations, and trials

• Collaborate with internal legal and administrative teams to ensure seamless case progression

• Utilize legal software systems for documentation, client communication, and time tracking

• Keep clients informed throughout their case and maintain a client-first approach

• Stay current with legislative changes and court rulings impacting matrimonial law

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in family or matrimonial law

• Demonstrated courtroom and mediation experience

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey with a clean disciplinary record

• Ability to travel to courts across the state as needed

• High-speed internet and a professional home office setup for remote work

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar

Skills:

• Strong litigation and negotiation capabilities

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives

• Familiarity with case management software such as Clio

• Empathetic yet results-driven approach to client interactions
