Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Fresno, CA, is seeking a seasoned immigration attorney to lead and manage a robust caseload in both detained and non-detained settings. Duties:

• Provide strategic consultations and legal analysis to clients regarding immigration matters

• Handle removal defense cases before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct legal intakes, including for individuals in detention facilities

• Draft and submit a range of immigration applications and petitions

• Review and revise application packets for accuracy and legal sufficiency

• Develop and implement a litigation strategy for individual cases

• Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in court and USCIS interviews

• Represent clients before government agencies and liaise with law enforcement or prosecutors as necessary

• Work closely with community groups to educate and inform on immigration law updates

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to manage workflow and deadlines

• Draft legal briefs and supporting documentation for a variety of immigration proceedings

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-8 years practicing immigration law

• Strong experience in both detained and non-detained removal defense

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and providing strategic advice

• Proficient in preparing complex immigration filings and legal briefs

• Familiarity with EOIR, USCIS, and family-based immigration proceedings

• Experience using legal case management software preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Certifications:

• Active license in good standing with any state bar
