Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, seeks a Mid-to-Senior-Level Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of substantive leveraged finance experience. The ideal candidate will represent borrowers, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, direct lenders, and other investors in a diverse range of debt finance work.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and support in various debt finance matters, including acquisition financings, dividend and other recapitalizations, asset-based facilities, general working capital facilities, and debt restructurings/reorganizations.
• Handle debtor-in-possession financings in the context of debt finance transactions.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence for client matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to private equity finance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.
• 3-6 years of substantive leveraged finance experience.

Certifications:

• State Bar admission in Illinois.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of leveraged finance and private equity transactions.
• Excellent legal research, analysis, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Preferred Qualifications:
