A law firm seeks a Trust Litigation Attorney for its Tustin, CA office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling probate, trust litigation, and conservatorship matters, with a strong ability to work independently and manage client cases with minimal oversight.

Duties

• Manage litigation files and handle cases proactively.
• Make court appearances and conduct depositions.
• Draft legal documents including discovery, motions, and briefs.
• Guide clients through probate, trust, and conservatorship matters.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Collaborate with paralegals and staff to delegate tasks.
• Participate in settlement conferences and advise clients.

Requirements

• Admitted to the State Bar of California.
• 3+ years of experience in probate, trust litigation, and conservatorship.
• Experience in civil litigation and financial elder abuse is a plus.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Notary Public is a plus.

Skills

• Proficient in legal research tools like Westlaw/Lexis.
• Strong computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate with individuals with various barriers to understanding.
