Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Patent Attorney specializing in AI technologies. The role involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting prior art searches, and staying abreast of the latest AI technology and patent laws. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in AI/ML and relevant industry experience.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to AI technologies.
• Collaborate with inventors to assess the patentability of new AI innovations.
• Conduct prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Stay updated on the latest AI technology advancements and patent laws.
• Liaise with clients to develop and manage patent portfolios.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or a related technical field involving AI/ML.
• Experience with AI models, neural networks, and deep learning.
• Proficiency in AI/ML theory including backpropagation, regularization, and optimization.
• Experience in preprocessing data, selecting features, and training/tuning models.
• Domain experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, wireless communications, computer vision, or related AI fields preferred.
• Registered to practice with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Active member and in good standing of the Colorado Bar or eligible to waive into the appropriate Bar.
