Duties:

• Manage and litigate a caseload of workers’ compensation claims

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and case summaries

• Appear at pre-trials, case management conferences, and hearings

• Develop medical-legal knowledge to effectively argue compensation claims

• Participate in arbitration proceedings and appeals within the Illinois legal system

• Work collaboratively with team members and senior attorneys on strategy and case development

• Maintain timely and professional communication with clients and opposing counsel

• Participate in training and mentorship programs to enhance litigation capabilities

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of legal practice experience

• Foundational or working knowledge of Illinois workers’ compensation law

• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and case priorities

• Demonstrated strengths in oral and written communication

• Capacity to engage in negotiations and client interaction with professionalism and empathy

• Commitment to client service and a strong interest in long-term career development within the legal field

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Illinois or Indiana (or ability to obtain Illinois licensure promptly)

Skills:

• Legal research and case preparation

• Courtroom presence and persuasive advocacy
