A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and driven Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense team in Warrenville, IL. Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases, including handling hearings, mediations, depositions, and administrative proceedings.
• Review and analyze medical records and other evidence pertinent to case matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel regarding case status and strategy.
• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on workers' compensation matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop defense strategies.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in workers' compensation litigation or a background in medical-related legal matters.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Courtroom experience, including participation in mock trials, moot court, or actual administrative proceedings, mediations, or negotiations.
• Familiarity with analyzing medical records and summarizing complex information.
• Knowledge of administrative law, Illinois state law, and legal procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois (active and in good standing).

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Lexis Advance.
• Familiarity with billing processes and legal case management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
• Competency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe.
