Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Denver, CO. This role focuses on case management with real litigation work, handling a large docket from case evaluation through trial preparation. The position requires strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and filings across multiple states. The attorney will collaborate with a team of Litigation Attorneys, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, and Co-Counsel.

Duties

• Manage a large, high-volume docket of cases across multiple states.
• Evaluate potential cases and conduct legal research.
• Handle document review and draft and respond to discovery.
• Defend and take depositions, including expert depositions.
• Prepare expert reports and assist with trial preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients about their cases.
• Correspond with opposing counsel and clients to keep the legal process moving.
• Track and manage statute of limitations (SOL) analysis across your docket.
• Handle e-filings in state and federal courts.
• Work closely with the litigation team to strategize on case approach, priorities, and next steps.
• Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants, providing direction and reviewing their work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in good standing (Colorado license or ability to waive in preferred).
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Comfort managing a high volume of clients and files.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Mass tort or personal injury experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible for waiver.
