A law firm seeks a licensed Massachusetts attorney with at least one year of experience in Estate Planning and/or Trusts and Estates to join their team in Boston, MA. This role is ideal for an attorney who excels in client education, consultations, and business development, while continuing to enhance their estate planning skills.

Duties

  • Lead consultations with potential new clients, focusing on estate planning and identifying needs across all practice areas.
  • Educate clients on legal options and guide them through the intake and onboarding process.
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with professionals such as financial advisors and CPAs.
  • Represent the firm at workshops, community events, and networking functions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and intake teams to improve conversion rates and referral tracking.
  • Draft and implement estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage probate matters and participate in trust and estate administration.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex estate and tax planning strategies.

Requirements

  • Licensed Massachusetts attorney in good standing with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Personable and confident in client-facing consultation settings.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a passion for client education.
  • Motivated by performance-driven compensation.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple consultations and follow-ups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Clio systems, or willing to learn.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Massachusetts Bar license.
