A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney in Birmingham, AL. This role involves working closely with a seasoned partner to transition client relationships over the next three years. The focus will be on trucking, construction, product liability, and insurance litigation. The ideal candidate will manage a large caseload, draft legal documents, and mentor junior associates.

Duties

• Manage and transition client portfolio with a senior partner.
• Prepare for and attend trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Prepare witnesses and experts for court proceedings.
• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients.
• Stay informed on local, state, and federal laws.
• Mentor junior attorneys in conflict resolution.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in Alabama.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in trucking, construction, and insurance litigation.
• Proven success in client development and retention.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and file management software.
• High ethical standards and confidentiality.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Alabama.
