A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Defense Attorney for their Baton Rouge, LA office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asbestos litigation, toxic-tort defense, products liability, and industrial operations litigation.

Duties

• Develop and execute sophisticated litigation strategies.
• Handle all phases of asbestos and exposure-related litigation.
• Conduct case evaluation, discovery management, and expert development.
• Engage in motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with corporate clients, insurers, and national coordinating counsel.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years' defense experience in asbestos or toxic-tort litigation.
• Experience representing corporate defendants in occupational-exposure matters.
• Strong litigation background in complex, multi-party, and multi-district cases.
• Proficiency in coordinating discovery and managing technical evidence.
• Ability to independently handle depositions, hearings, and motion practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with national counsel and corporate clients.
