Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its legal team in San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for a newly admitted attorney with a keen interest in civil liability defense, including product liability, premises liability, transportation, and construction defense litigation. The selected candidate will gain hands-on litigation experience while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and case analysis.

• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other court proceedings.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and litigation tactics.

• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.

• Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently to meet deadlines and case objectives.

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience in general civil liability, construction defect, or insurance defense litigation.

• Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and case management abilities.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound strategies.

• Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.
