Duties
- Advise businesses and individuals on corporate transactions and tax planning
- Provide legal counsel on federal tax matters, including structuring and compliance for corporations, partnerships, and tax-exempt entities
- Represent clients in federal taxpayer advocacy matters
- Assist in the formation, structuring, and governance of corporate entities
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other business-related legal documents
- Advise on trusts and estates matters, including estate planning and asset protection strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations affecting business operations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law and business transactions
- Strong background in federal tax law and planning
- Experience working with corporations, partnerships, and tax-exempt entities
- Ability to handle federal taxpayer advocacy matters
- Trusts and estates experience preferred
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications
- Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
