Duties
- Draft legal pleadings, notices of hearings, motions, and orders.
- Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
- Update case management system to ensure data integrity.
- Travel to court and client sites as necessary.
- Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal staff.
- Identify legal issues requiring additional review.
- Manage a high volume of files with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
- Review and correct case work prepared by paralegals.
Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- New Jersey Bar Admission required; PA or NY admission a bonus.
- 1-3 years of bankruptcy court and litigation experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic case management systems; CaseAware a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, and court procedures.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact and collaborate positively with clients and employees.
- Flexibility, self-direction, and motivation.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Valid Driver's License.
Education
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- New Jersey Bar Admission required.
