A law firm seeks an entry-level associate attorney in Newport Beach, CA. The successful candidate will have 6 months to 3 years of litigation experience and a passion for consumer protection. This role involves working closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and manage a diverse caseload.

Duties

• Draft and review written discovery and document productions.
• Prepare and respond to motions related to discovery disputes.
• Participate in oral arguments and case management conferences.
• Attend and defend client depositions and take witness depositions.
• Participate in vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.
• Manage timely reporting and billing for hours worked.
• Assist with trial preparation and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
• At least 6 months of experience as a California licensed attorney.
• Interest in consumer protection and advocacy.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Organizational skills to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within California as needed.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
