Job Overview:
A well-established national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of transactional experience to join its Real Estate Practice Group. This role is available in the firm’s Orange County and Los Angeles offices and is ideal for candidates who possess a strong foundation in commercial real estate law and are looking to broaden their practice with additional exposure to real estate-related litigation. Duties:
Handle transactions related to commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, lease agreements, and loan documents
Conduct due diligence and title review for real estate transactions
Support litigation matters arising from real estate and development projects (preferred)
Assist in disputes involving eminent domain, inverse condemnation, construction claims, and environmental compliance
Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex client matters
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and client communications
Requirements:
3–5 years of transactional real estate experience
Experience with acquisitions, sales, leasing, and commercial lending
Litigation experience in real estate-related matters is preferred but not required
Strong academic credentials and legal research skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in California (required)
Skills:
Excellent writing, drafting, and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Effective communicator with clients, colleagues, and counterparties
Ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously
Interest in expanding practice into litigation or regulatory work related to real estate (preferred)
