Duties

• Conduct client consultations and assess their legal needs.
• Prepare legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court, including Family Court and NY Supreme Court.
• Negotiate settlements and handle mediation processes.
• Provide strategic legal advice on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and alimony.
• Maintain a high level of client communication and ensure timely updates.
• Collaborate with other members of the legal team to build strong case strategies.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Family Law, including divorce, child custody, child support, and alimony.
• Experience in preparing and filing legal documents related to family law cases.
• Proven ability to represent clients effectively in court.
• Excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and maintain professionalism.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York State (active membership with the New York State Bar).
