Duties

• Handle all aspects of class action litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, certification briefs, and appeals.
• Draft and respond to complaints, class certification motions, dispositive motions, and settlement documentation.
• Conduct and supervise depositions, mediations, and hearings in both federal and state courts.
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with clients, expert witnesses, and co-counsel teams.
• Manage e-discovery workflows and coordinate document review platforms.
• Monitor developments in class action law, including consumer protection statutes and employment regulations.
• Mentor junior associates and oversee paralegal tasks related to pleading and discovery.

Requirements

• 5 years of class action litigation experience.
• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.
• Demonstrated success in managing class certification processes and settlement negotiations.
• Exceptional legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to foster strong client relationships and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar (required).

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly Rule 23, and California class action statutes.
• Superior written and oral advocacy capabilities.
• Proficiency with litigation support tools and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Concordance).
