A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney for a fully remote position, requiring admission to practice in Illinois. The role involves handling sophisticated insurance coverage matters and collaborating with a dynamic team of practitioners.

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Analyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issues.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and disclaimer letters.
• Litigate insurance coverage matters, including depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex matters.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in Illinois required; Indiana admission is a plus.
• 2+ years of insurance coverage and/or litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

• Professional liability coverage expertise.
• Directors & Officers (D&O) liability coverage knowledge.
• Financial institutions coverage experience.
• Coverage opinion drafting and policy analysis skills.
• Insurance coverage litigation, including motion practice and depositions.
