Job Overview
A well-established law firm located in Broward County, Florida, is seeking attorneys to join its first-party property insurance defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced legal professionals while handling homeowners' insurance and other property damage-related litigation. Exposure to such cases is preferred but not required. The firm is looking for self-motivated individuals with strong writing skills to contribute to its growing team.

Duties

• Manage a full caseload of cases

• Conduct initial case assessments and provide detailed reports

• Handle motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions

• Prepare discovery requests and responses

• Take and defend depositions

• Maintain direct communication with attorneys and clients via phone and email

• Track and record time for billable activities on file-related tasks

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

• Member in good standing with the Florida Bar

• 0-6 years of civil litigation experience, including state and/or federal court cases

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD)

Certifications

• Active member of the Florida Bar

Skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Effective time management and organizational skills

• Ability to handle a diverse range of legal matters independently

• Proficiency in legal research and case analysis
