A law firm seeks a mid-level Insurance Coverage Associate to join their growing practice in Seattle, WA, or remotely. The successful candidate will advise insurers on complex coverage issues related to emerging risks, including social media, AI, PFAS, privacy claims, and unfair competition in online marketplaces. This role involves representing insurers in complex litigation involving commercial lines liability and excess policies.

Duties

• Advise clients on coverage under commercial lines liability and excess insurance policies.
• Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, case law, and draft memoranda and coverage opinions.
• Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Manage matters, deadlines, and client communication proactively.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in Washington.
• Experience in insurance coverage or complex commercial litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Washington.
