Job Overview:
A nationally recognized immigration law firm is seeking a Bilingual Associate Attorney to support its mission-driven legal practice. This remote role is ideal for a licensed attorney with at least 3 years of humanitarian-based immigration experience and strong Spanish-language proficiency. The ideal candidate will lead case reviews, represent clients before USCIS and in removal proceedings, and collaborate closely with legal staff to ensure the accuracy, quality, and strategic integrity of all legal filings. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of underserved immigrant populations.
Location:
Missouri City, TX
Duties:
Review client consultations and confirm legal strategy
Conduct detailed case file reviews and analyze relevant documents
Audit and correct legal documents for consistency and accuracy
Oversee and manage the case revision and final review workflows
Attend USCIS interviews and represent clients in immigration court proceedings
Conduct client meetings via phone and in-person to provide legal guidance
Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, pleadings, and appeals
Collaborate with legal team to resolve case-specific legal questions
Identify operational improvements and contribute to process development
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in humanitarian-based immigration law
Proficient in family-based petitions, removal defense, asylum, and naturalization
Skilled in T-Visa, U-Visa, and VAWA applications
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to travel as required for case representation
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the United States
Member in good standing with a U.S. state bar
Skills:
Fluent in Spanish (required)
Proficient in immigration case management software (e.g., MyCase)
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Organizationally adept with the ability to manage deadlines and case flow
Experienced in working with diverse and marginalized communities
