Job Overview
A leading boutique law firm specializing in healthcare and life sciences law is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Life Sciences litigation team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex matters involving regulatory, commercial, and administrative litigation in a highly specialized legal field. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience, exceptional legal writing, and a collaborative mindset, with the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys on high-impact cases across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Duties
Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery
Communicate with clients regarding investigations, litigation strategy, and case status
Draft and respond to discovery requests and objections
Review and analyze document production and maintain case files
Prepare and manage scheduling orders, e-discovery protocols, and protective orders
Develop deposition strategies, draft outlines, and manage exhibits
Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses
Prepare witnesses and materials for trial, arbitration, and administrative hearings
Conduct oral arguments and appear for court conferences and hearings
Draft mediation statements and participate in settlement negotiations
Work with state boards and administrative agencies
Support senior attorneys at trial and arbitration hearings (Second Chair responsibilities)
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience (healthcare or life sciences focus preferred)
Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Ability to be onsite in the Pine Brook, NJ office at least 3 days per week
Demonstrated experience performing key litigation tasks as described above
Commitment to client service and collaborative teamwork
Minimum law school GPA of 3.0 preferred
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state (New Jersey preferred)
Skills
