Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney with litigation experience in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate will have a background in employment or labor law, with experience as a plaintiff or defense attorney. The position title will be determined based on the candidate's experience. Maryland Bar membership is required.

Duties

• Conduct initial consultations and provide ongoing employment counseling.
• Manage cases independently through all phases of litigation.
• Appear in court and represent clients effectively.
• Draft demands, motions, and pleadings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and attend trials, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and mediations.

Requirements

• Currently licensed (Active) in Maryland.
• 7+ years of employment law and litigation experience.
• Experience as a trial and/or appellate lawyer for employment matters.
• Experience in the EEOC administrative process and hearings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Maryland Bar.
