Duties:
Manage a diverse caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, including business disputes and real estate litigation
Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings (Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and occasional Chapter 11)
Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Appear at court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations
Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on legal options and risk mitigation
Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff while also working independently
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Stay adaptable to expanding legal practice areas and case types
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on litigation experience, with exposure to bankruptcy and business litigation
Proven ability to manage litigation files from inception through resolution
Courtroom and deposition experience highly preferred
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases efficiently
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the New Jersey Bar (mandatory)
Admission to the New York Bar is a plus
