Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Public Finance Practice Group in Tysons, Virginia. The successful candidate will work with a team that guides clients through various tax-exempt and taxable financings across multiple sectors, including healthcare, energy, and higher education.

Duties

• Review, draft, and analyze credit support, tax, construction, and management agreements.
• Draft and negotiate financing and offering documents, certificates, and opinions.
• Review and analyze complex federal tax issues.
• Collaborate with public and private clients in diverse industries.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in debt finance, public finance, or project finance at a top 100 law firm.
• Experience with real estate, secured lending, and tax-exempt finance transactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams.
• Strong academic record with excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Virginia Bar membership required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Virginia Bar license.
