Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced real estate associate to join its transactional finance real estate practice in Washington, DC. The candidate will support traditional real estate and lender finance practices, as well as public finance initiatives.

Duties

• Represent developers in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and related transactions.
• Review title and survey documents.
• Represent financial institutions in lending transactions, including real estate secured financing.
• Assist in public finance transactions, serving as bond counsel or similar roles.
• Draft and negotiate real estate and loan documents.
• Conduct due diligence reviews.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a real estate or real estate finance associate.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Diligent and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently.

Education

• JD required.

Certifications

• Bar admission or eligibility to waive into the jurisdiction where the office is located.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Proficiency in due diligence processes.
