A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 5+ years of coverage experience in the insurance space, preferably in general liability and professional lines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and litigating coverage matters.

Job Overview:

The Insurance Coverage Attorney will be responsible for interpreting insurance policies, providing coverage opinions, and handling coverage litigation matters. This role requires superior academic credentials, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong background in insurance law.

Duties:

• Interpret insurance policies and provide coverage opinions
• Draft coverage opinions and other legal documents
• Litigate coverage matters, including disputes related to general liability, professional liability (E&O), directors & officers, employment practices liability, and cyber insurance policies
• Communicate with clients to provide legal advice and updates on coverage matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Collaborate with partners and other team members on case strategy and development
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and support staff as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of coverage experience (advice and litigation) in the insurance space
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the California Bar
• Extensive experience interpreting insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions
• Superior academic credentials
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education:

Juris doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
