Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking an Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its Financial Markets practice in the Miami office. The role focuses on complex leveraged finance and asset-based lending transactions. The ideal candidate will bring strong large law firm experience representing both lenders and borrowers and will be comfortable taking on structuring, drafting, deal management, and client-facing responsibilities within a collaborative legal environment.

Duties

• Represent financial institutions and corporate borrowers in complex leveraged finance and asset-based lending deals

• Draft and negotiate loan agreements, collateral documents, and intercreditor agreements

• Manage transactions from inception through closing, including due diligence and documentation

• Advise clients on structuring strategies, risk analysis, and regulatory considerations

• Collaborate with other attorneys and departments on multifaceted financial transactions

• Engage in frequent client interaction with a high degree of professionalism and responsiveness

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in leveraged finance and asset-based lending

• Previous experience at a large or mid-sized law firm handling sophisticated financing transactions

• Strong understanding of market terms and trends in commercial finance

• Ability to manage multiple active matters in a deadline-driven environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member of the bar in Florida, or eligible for immediate admission
