Job Overview: An established law firm is seeking a qualified Global Finance Associate with a focus on lending to join the New York office. This role involves working within the Global Finance Group, handling syndicated lending and private credit/direct lending transactions, with a focus on sponsor finance and LBO finance. The associate will manage financing transactions for borrowers and lenders, including drafting and negotiating related documentation.

Location: New York City, New York

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate transaction documents for syndicated lending and private credit/direct lending transactions
• Lead financing transactions on behalf of borrower and lender clients
• Collaborate on sponsor finance and leveraged buyout (LBO) finance transactions
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in syndicated lending and/or private credit/direct lending
• Familiarity with sponsor finance and LBO finance preferred
• Admission to the New York bar, or eligibility for admission

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in New York or eligibility for admission

Skills:

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills in finance-related legal documents
• Proficiency in handling borrower and lender transactions
• Familiarity with finance structures, including syndicated lending and private credit
• Ability to lead complex financing transactions independently
