Job Overview:
A law firm in Charlotte, NC, seeks a seasoned litigator to serve as a Senior Attorney within its Complex Injury Division. This full-time position involves leading high-impact personal injury cases, guiding internal teams, and managing critical client interactions. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of legal acumen, leadership experience, and deep empathy for clients facing severe personal injury.

Duties:

  • Supervise and direct legal strategies for catastrophic injury cases to support optimal outcomes

  • Serve as the primary legal resource for paralegals and case managers within the complex injury unit

  • Handle escalated case matters, including client disputes, provider denials, or file terminations

  • Offer clear, actionable legal guidance to internal teams on procedural and substantive matters

  • Support performance and service standards across the complex case team

  • Maintain high-quality, empathetic communication with clients to foster confidence and engagement

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience practicing personal injury law

  • Significant background handling catastrophic or high-complexity injury claims

  • Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina Bar

  • Admission to the South Carolina Bar is advantageous

  • Proven ability to manage sensitive situations and deliver practical resolutions

  • Experience supervising or mentoring legal staff preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution

Certifications:

  • Active licensure with the North Carolina Bar

  • South Carolina Bar admission (optional)

Skills:

  • Strategic legal thinking and effective case management

  • Strong verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues

  • Crisis management and dispute resolution

  • Ability to coach and support team members professionally

  • Organizational skills with attention to service and performance benchmarks
