A law firm seeks a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of personal injury matters from pre-litigation through trial, demonstrating strong courtroom confidence and legal strategy skills.

Duties

• Manage a docket of personal injury cases from intake through resolution.
• Prepare demands, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Develop case strategies and advise clients accordingly.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
• Supervise support staff as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records using legal case management software.
• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies.
• Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury.
• Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
• Client-focused, ethical, and driven to achieve justice.
• Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required.
• Active member of their local bar association preferred.
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Colorado.
