A law firm in Rockville, MD, is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Attorney with a passion for helping individuals facing divorce and custody battles. The ideal candidate should have a strong litigation background, be well-versed in courtroom procedures, and excel at building trusted client relationships. This role involves taking ownership of client cases, providing legal consultations, delegating work to support staff, and contributing to case strategy development.

Duties:

• Advocate passionately for clients going through divorce and custody battles.
• Provide exceptional representation by hitting the ground running.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
• Manage all aspects of a client's case, including discovery, pleadings, motions, depositions, mediation, pre-trial hearings, motion hearings, and trials.
• Conduct client consultations and recommend legal strategies.
• Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, overseeing their work.
• Contribute to case strategy development, backed by knowledge of relevant rules and case law.
• Navigate the courtroom with confidence and competence while representing clients.
• Interpret financial statements, understand equitable distribution, and create custody access plans.
• Help clients make informed decisions regarding legal expenses and priorities.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in Family Law.
• Strong litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
