Job Overview:
A highly respected law firm is actively seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its nationally acclaimed Trademark & Copyright Practice. This full-time position is ideal for attorneys with at least five years of hands-on experience in domestic and international trademark prosecution, TTAB proceedings, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, and strategic intellectual property management. The role offers the opportunity to work with globally recognized clients on cutting-edge trademark and copyright matters. Multiple office locations are available, and the position is based on-site.

Location:

• Menlo Park, CA

Duties:

• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios

• Handle trademark prosecution, enforcement, and opposition proceedings

• Represent clients before the TTAB in oppositions and cancellations

• Develop and implement anti-counterfeiting strategies globally

• Draft and negotiate licensing agreements and related IP documentation

• Advise clients on copyright protection, enforcement, and related transactional work

• Support broader IP and brand strategy efforts for high-profile clients

• Collaborate across practice areas including litigation, corporate, and transactional teams

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in trademark and copyright law

• Prior involvement with international trademark prosecution and TTAB proceedings

• Familiarity with anti-counterfeiting measures and enforcement practices

• Ability to manage complex portfolios and coordinate with global counsel

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic performance required

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Eligible for admission in the jurisdiction of the office location selected

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical thinking

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and international contacts

• Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Proficiency in IP management systems and legal technology platforms preferred
