Job Overview:
A Tampa-based law firm with a strong regional presence is currently seeking a litigation attorney with experience in family law. This opportunity is offered through a legal recruiting partner working on behalf of the firm. The role involves representing clients in family law matters, managing litigation from initiation to resolution, and collaborating with colleagues to develop strategic solutions. The ideal candidate will bring courtroom experience, client-focused communication, and a proactive approach to legal advocacy.

Duties:

• Advocate for clients in courtroom settings, mediations, and negotiations

• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements

• Conduct legal research and case analysis to support litigation strategy

• Maintain regular client communication and provide updates throughout the legal process

• Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm and implement case strategies

• Monitor changes in laws and procedures relevant to family litigation

• Represent the firm in professional associations and networking events

• Manage caseloads efficiently and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Florida

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for a family law background

• Demonstrated courtroom and negotiation experience

• Proficiency in managing multiple legal matters and deadlines

• High level of discretion when handling sensitive information

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Member in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong oral advocacy and public speaking abilities

• Effective time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Comfort with legal research tools and case management systems
