Job Overview:
A well-established civil litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office. The position involves working on a wide range of defense matters in general liability and/or commercial litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with at least 2 years of experience who are looking to gain hands-on responsibility in managing files, participating in litigation strategy, and progressing toward leading trials.

Location:

• Atlanta, GA

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Manage case files from inception through resolution

• Develop case strategy and client communication plans

• Take and defend depositions

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Negotiate settlements when appropriate

• Support and lead trial preparation and, eventually, trial proceedings

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience

• Experience in general liability and/or commercial litigation

• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and deadlines efficiently

• Interest in long-term career development within a litigation practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the Georgia Bar in good standing or in the process of being sworn in imminently
