Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in South Bend, Indiana. Duties:

  • Apply legal principles to effectively solve client problems and provide meaningful value.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and maintain the highest ethical standards in all work.
  • Manage workloads and meet deadlines to achieve an annual billable hour target of 1,600 hours.
  • Produce persuasive written work that is tailored to the intended audience.
  • Simplify and present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in community engagement and outreach efforts.
  • Actively contribute ideas and collaborate with colleagues to enhance team success.
  • Listen actively and maintain open communication with clients and team members.
  • Support the firm’s strategic initiatives and long-term goals.
  • Manage and improve personal performance and productivity consistently.
  • Work effectively in a team, providing guidance and oversight to business professionals as necessary.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and collection practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed (or eligible to become licensed) to practice law in Indiana.
  • A minimum of 2 years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice law in Indiana.
