A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate Practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will manage sophisticated commercial real estate transactions with a high degree of responsibility and independence, serving a diverse national and international client base.

Duties

• Manage acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets, including private equity and distressed components.
• Handle real estate finance transactions, representing borrowers, lenders, and agents.
• Negotiate and draft complex leasing transactions, including ground leases and sale-leasebacks.
• Structure and form joint ventures and related investment vehicles.
• Oversee development matters, including asset and property management agreements.
• Conduct loan syndications, participations, workouts, and restructurings.
• Manage bankruptcy-related real estate transactions, including Section 363 sales.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• Member of the New York Bar.
• Significant experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, particularly in financing.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Professionalism and sound judgment with a strong understanding of ethical standards.

Education

• J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

• Member of the New York Bar.
