Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on immigration law and related topics.
• Draft high-quality legal briefs, memoranda, and other documents for Motions to Reopen, Appeals, and Circuit Court submissions.
• Prepare detailed statements and legal products with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate with legal team members to ensure comprehensive and accurate legal documents.
• Review and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy, coherence, and adherence to legal standards.
• Work independently to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on ongoing cases and projects.
• Handle projects as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility for admission in relevant jurisdictions.
• Minimum of 3 years of immigration experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal research and writing, preferably focusing on immigration law.
• Strong knowledge of procedural law, immigration regulations, and relevant statutes.
• Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools.
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized persuasive legal documents.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
• Attention to detail in proofreading documents and handling confidential information with discretion.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active law license.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
