• Evaluate case files and medical records to develop case strategies.
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, position statements, settlement agreements, and appeals.
• Advise clients on workers' compensation issues, including claim exposure, return-to-work policies, and litigation risk.
• Attend mediations, hearings, and conferences.
• Maintain detailed documentation and timely reporting of case progress.
• Collaborate with claims professionals and internal teams to deliver effective defense strategies.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience practicing workers' compensation defense law.
• Familiarity with Virginia Workers' Compensation statutes and procedures.
• Strong litigation and case management experience.
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience with insurance defense or employer-side representation preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar (in good standing).
