invites applications for
Family Representative
to oversee
Responsibilities
Participate in Maternal Child Health advisory boards, committees and councils
Participate in Annual Title V Maternal Child Health Block Grant Application compilation and review
Participate in meetings with Children Special Health Services Section and the Family-to-Family Health Information Center
Participate in Children Special Health Services programming policies and decisions
Participate in consultation of other maternal child health programs as directed by the Children’s Special Health Services
Support parent and family engagement with needs assessment and other program planning initiatives
Attendance at Maternal Child Health conferences at the discretion of the Department and Family to Family health information center
Assist in preparation and presentation of educational resources to stakeholders and public
Assist in Maternal Child Health outreach materials including website
Support information sharing for families of children with special health needs through strategic network building
Minimum Required Experience
Strong and effective communication skills, both orally and written
Ability to create and present trainings to stakeholders, families and the public as needed
Ability to use computer, databases and Microsoft suite programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to learn public health program principles
Critical thinking skills
Effective collaboration
Ability to effectively telework
Preferred Qualifications
Lived experience as a parent or guardian of a child with special health needs
Preferred ability to travel to annual out of state conference
