A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney in Kansas City, MO, to join its dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and time management, handling tasks such as factual investigation, legal research, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation.

Duties

• Handle a diverse caseload under senior attorney supervision.
• Conduct thorough factual investigations of claims.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and draft legal memorandums, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare high-quality pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and argue motions.
• Assist in trial preparation, including witness and evidence organization.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Missouri Bar; Kansas Bar admission preferred.
• 2+ years of post-bar admission legal experience; civil litigation experience is a plus.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel infrequently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Missouri Bar license (required).
